Key Updates to Programmable Logic Software Solutions from RDM

Resource Data Management (RDM) is pleased to announce updates to a number of products within their Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) range. The Data Builder, commonly referred to simply as TDB, is a unique PLC application allowing users to create custom HVAC/R control strategies which can be implemented on several RDM hardware platforms.

TDB Desktop Editor v2.3.6

Free-to-download desktop editing software, the TDB Desktop Editor, gives users the tools to create custom control algorithms for any building control application.

A new Lua Code Block provides the capability to write code using the scripting language Lua within a TDB program.
Other changes include enhancements to Override, Display and Slide Blocks when using simulation mode, refrigerant type name changes to match ASHRAE and new warnings for naming clashes.TDB Editor v2.3.6 for PC is available for free download from the Software section of the RDM website.

Non-Java TDB Web Editor

A non-Java TDB Web Editor has been launched with an entirely new modern look. For user continuity, the new look incorporates design and UX features found within RDM’s market-leading front-end, DMTouch.

The new Web Editor no longer requires Java-enabled browsers. This is a major update for users who typically use Chrome or Edge as their default browser.

Additional changes include improvements to functionality and updates coinciding with TDB Desktop Editor v2.3.6.
A detailed Change Guide has been published highlighting the new features and providing guidance for users switching to the new Web Editor.

Intuitive & Mini TDB Software v4.2

Support for TDB progams is built-in as standard on the Intuitive and Mini Intuitive TDB controllers. There are no annual fees, as the license is for the duration of the hardware.

Firmware v4.2 for Intuitive and Mini Intuitive TDB controllers incorporates the new Lua Code Block and the updated Web Editor for modern browsers. Support for RDM’s recently launched range of Bluetooth wireless control solutions has also been added.
