Resource Data Management (RDM) are delighted to attend the Climate Summit hosted by the Cold Chain Federation on 20th March. At this year’s event, we are presenting advanced energy management solutions for businesses to establish data-driven strategies to decrease their energy use, operating costs, and carbon footprint.
These solutions feature fibre optic technology that deliver reliable energy data transfers over long distances, ideally suited for large sites such as warehouses or distribution centres. When connected to our front-end system DMTouch, businesses can access all their energy data, as well as control and monitor their HVAC and refrigeration equipment – all from one central device.
Data-Driven Energy Management Solutions
Our solution makes it easy for businesses to benchmark their current consumption, establish targets, and review results. The solution includes the use of RDM’s energy submeters to establish the energy consumption of each electrical equipment onsite, including HVAC, refrigeration systems, compressors, evaporators, boilers, AHUs, and forklift charging stations. They can also measure energy generated by wind turbines or solar panels.
All data from energy sub-meters is sent to our front-end system DMTouch. DMTouch provides a central control and monitoring point for HVACR assets and energy data. It can integrate with and collect data from third-party energy meters via open protocol communication. DMTouch monitors metered consumables including gas and water, predicts budgets, displays energy usage trends, and issues high-consumption warnings. It also features fibre connectivity which ensures that it can securely receive data over long distances.
Reliable Data Transfer with Fibre Optic Solutions
In large facilities, such as warehouses and distribution centres, there are often long distances between energy meters and the front-end system. Using fibre optic cables as a connection is a reliable solution to transfer data. Fibre optics cables can cover long distances and guarantee low latency, high bandwidth, and secure data transmission.
RDM offers a complete energy monitoring solution that uses fibre optic communications between energy meters and front-end system DMTouch to ensure reliable data transfer.
