Resource Data Management (RDM) appoints Enrico Mirandola, former Managing Director of rival Carel, to Group Sales Director as it creates a group structure for its operations around the world.

RDM, the leading control and monitoring company, has restructured its operations and announced a number of key appointments to support ambitious plans for global growth.

The company has created a group structure to oversee its operations, following the acquisition of Taiwan manufacturer FYC in 2008 and Indian software company Resorsys (now renamed RDM India) in 2009, along with the opening of RDM’s US office in 2012.

Enrico Mirandola, formerly Managing Director at Carel UK, has become Group Sales Director at RDM Group and will assume responsibility for growing and managing RDM’s sales and marketing teams, covering Europe, the Far and Middle East, Africa and the US. As a board director he joins the group board comprising Andrew Chandler, Managing Director, Gordon McBride, Operations Director, and Alan McBride, R&D Director.

“Having been in the HVACR sector for 20 years, I have been particularly impressed by RDM’s products and specifically their combination of power and ease of use, which is well received by installers and users alike. While RDM began in refrigeration, and that remains a key market, I see great potential for expanding the range of sectors we operate in, spanning commercial buildings, retail, leisure, healthcare, industrial manufacture and food production. Another market which has large growth potential in the UK and overseas is RDM’s web-based FM monitoring service." - Enrico Mirandola, Group Sales Directo, RDM

Other key appointments include Bob Arthur, formerly of Marks and Spencer and now an Independent Consultant, who has been appointed to manage and expand RDM’s distribution network in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He will source new business and identify new RDM distributors.

On the home front, Mick Padgett, formerly National Accounts Manager at WR Refrigeration, has been appointed as a Senior Account Manager with responsibility for major UK clients.

“Demand for RDM products is growing rapidly, with many new customers converting to our systems due to their power, ease of use and cost-effectiveness. These new appointments bring unprecedented levels of professionalism, deep knowledge and experience of the marketplace, with a proven track record in their respective fields. This will help us manage the expanding global demand for RDM products, and provide invaluable insights to help us continue to anticipate future needs. It is an exciting time to be in the controls business.” - Andrew Chandler, MD, RDM
