Rajpall Singh, General Manager at RDM Asia Sdn Bhd, shared his views on The Internet of Things for Building Automation & Energy, during a seminar at the BEX Asia Green Building Seminar, held in Bangkok on 2 August.

IoT solutions from RDM

As one of the first companies to offer refrigeration and BMS controls with IP built-in, the presentation focused on RDM solutions and how they help businesses improve efficiency, and reduce operating costs through the adoption of IoT. In 2001, a major UK retailer installed one of the first systems using the IoT, to connect refrigeration, lighting and air conditioning systems, using RDM controllers. Today, RDM customers worldwide are connecting devices, to collect and analyse data to give both service providers and end-user organisations the opportunity to deliver better performance, cut energy costs and increase profitability.

BEX Asia

Endorsed by the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore and the Singapore Green Building Council, the BEX Asia seminar was held ahead of the Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) Asia, and Build Eco Xpo (BEX) Asia exhibitions, both to be held 12-14 September.

BEX Asia is the leading green building trade show, while MCE Asia is the region's leading trade show for energy-efficient solutions in HVACR, Plumbing Technology, Sanitary Accessories, and Solar Energy that powers industrial plants, commercial and residential buildings. Anchor events of the Singapore Green Building Week, they will be co-located with the International Green Building Conference (IGBC).
