The Project

Econsave, one of the largest grocery retailers in Malaysia, with approximately 60 stores, was looking to minimise energy consumption and the associated costs to support its 25% annual growth plan. The energy-related savings were to be made by streamlining the stores’ energy management and minimising costs for each site.

The Solution

To achieve this goal, Resource Data Management (RDM) Asia utilised five proven solutions: installing an energy management system (EMS), air conditioning controls, inverters plus their control, maximum demand (MD) control, and air handling unit (AHU) controls designed with relevance to MD.

The Benefits

Econsave registered a reduction in energy demands, which reduced the costs and the CO2 released at the stores where the solutions had been deployed. The energy consumption was streamlined for these sites, and each store had better control over its assets through improved visibility and monitoring solutions.
