Service overview

The way this system delivers information offers real benefits to all parties. ActiveFM is designed to monitor stores in real time with information flowing to our control center continuously via the Internet.

The Data Director and the Data manager already have software systems built into them that allow information from every controller to be continuously streamed into our database and the database has built in intelligence to sort and sift all the data. It can even go back to the controller and fetch additional information.

Intelligent use of information

At RDM we can use the information to place service calls, call up routine maintenance or adjust control parameters to overcome short term problems. We can distinguish breakdowns, from set up problems to general system deterioration to user misuse.

We can send the data to stores as well as retrieve it. We can send the call sheet direct to the system for you when you arrive. It can tell you the job number, the reason for the call, the circumstances and alarms around the problem.

When the service call has been repaired, you can close the job down on line and in real time at the store. This automatically updates the system and the current status is available for review.

The whole system is transparent and monitored continuously. You can see every adjustment, when it was carried out and who logged on to do it. You can see every case clean, every power down, every time clock change, every compressor start, every defrost and every controller replacement.

Life cycle costing

Every display case or evaporator system can be given a unique asset number that is stored in the controller. The Data Manager associates the asset number with each alarm it sends to the ActiveFM. The ActiveFM database associates every service call and every service cost to each asset number and that means the Client can have an exact cost over the entire lifetime for each and every fixture.

As a result Life Cycle costing is now a reality.
